1 in custody, 1 hospitalized after shooting at White Bluff business

WHITE BLUFF, Tenn. (WKRN) — One person is in custody after a shooting left a man injured just after midnight Monday.

The shooting was reported at a business on Petty Road in White Bluff. When deputies with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where officials said he “remains in critical, but stable condition.”

As the investigation continued into Monday morning, authorities said they were able to identify a possible suspect in the shooting.

Billy Wayne Thomas, 30, of White Bluff, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, six counts of aggravated assault, six counts of reckless endangerment and criminal trespassing.

His bond is set at $225,000 and he is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on June 18, according to the sheriff’s office.
