The Zombies Announce Final Tour Dates for 'Odessey & Oracle' Full Album Performances

Billboard

Classic album live performances are an increasingly common (and welcome) occurrence in the 21st century, but even so, The Zombies' soon-to-wrap Odessey & Oracle Tour is something special. The British rock group's 1968 masterpiece didn't make much of a splash in the U.S. after its initial release, but it's now regularly listed as one of the best albums of all time (although "Time of the Season" was a  hit, Odessey & Oracle peaked at No. 95 on the Billboard 200 -- of course, it didn't help that they'd broken up by the time it hit America).

So the chance to see the Zombies -- including founding members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent -- perform the album start-to-finish is a decades-in-the-making treat with a narrowing window of time. In spring 2017, you'll have your last chance to see one of the greatest pop albums of all time performed live when the Zombies finish their Odessey and Oracle Tour. The just-announced final tour dates (below) start March 17 in Philadelphia and wrap April 29 in Los Angeles. The tour features all four surviving members of the group: Colin Blunstone on lead vocals, Rod Argent on keyboards/vocals, Chris White on bass/vocals and Hugh Grundy on drums.

Additionally, the Zombies are releasing an album-sized (12" x 12") coffee table book in March 2017 featuring stories about making Odessey and Oracle, handwritten lyrics and artwork from Terry Quirk (who designed the timeless Odessey & Oracle cover art, as well as the artwork for their recent Still Got That Hunger album) and Vivienne Boucherat.
