As the jury deliberated on Saturday in the trial of George Zimmerman over the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Young Jeezy posted a note on Facebook to the relatives of the unarmed 17-year-old victim. "I would like to offer strength to you and the family through this entire ordeal. I pray that justice is served and the memory of Trayvon is carried through you and through all of us," the rapper wrote, and added "It's in GOD's Hands."
On Saturday evening, the jury delivered their verdict: not guilty. Early Sunday morning, Young Jeezy released his reaction to the news in the form of a track called "It's a Cold World," which he posted on Facebook. "I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events," he said, regarding the track. "These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it."
