Yeah Yeah Yeahs Announce First Show in 4 Years

By Evan Minsker.

For at least one night this year, Yeah Yeah Yeahs will return from their hiatus. The band will headline this year’s Sound on Sound Festival, which takes place November 10-12 in Sherwood Forest—a renaissance faire site and campground located outside of Austin, Texas. Although they performed some covers at a Tribeca Film Festival party last year, Sound on Sound 2017 marks their first full show in four years (when they were touring behind their 2013 album Mosquito.) In the interim, Karen O released her 2015 solo album Crush Songs and Nick Zinner put out a new album with his old band Head Wound City.

The Sound on Sound festival’s lineup also features Iggy Pop, Grizzly Bear, the Shins, Blood Orange, Vince Staples, Pusha T, Sleep, Dinosaur Jr., Digable Planets, Kehlani, Charles Bradley, Japandroids, Ariel Pink, Real Estate, Converge, Cloud Nothings, Hot Chip, Electric Wizard, Foxygen, Washed Out, Ministry, S U R V I V E, Power Trip, and more.
