Why K. Michelle Calls Herself 'The Black Taylor Swift'

R&B and reality star K. Michelle has very little to hide. She posed nude for the cover of her latest album, Anyone Wanna Buy a Heart? She shared her personal dramas for all to see on reality series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta; and now, K. Michelle: My Life. Her songs discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of her real-life romances; something she said she has in common with another singer, Taylor Swift.

"I do consider myself like the Black Taylor Swift because she’s like me   when she’s in a relationship, she doesn’t care who you are, she’s gonna write a song about it, and she doesn’t care what you think,” K. Michelle told Yahoo Music. “And that’s me. I’ve like warned people. And I think men should now know, if you date me, I’m gonna write about you. And if I can’t get a song from you, I’m not going to date you because that means I’m not inspired any way. So it won’t happen.”

The Memphis native also opened up about several other subjects: tapping Idris Elda – her now admitted ex – to direct her Rebellious Soul musical, working as an exotic dancer, falling out with R. Kelly, and loving country music.
