Oklahoma City Thunder's Victor Oladipo doesn't just ball out on the court, he can also work the mic.
The OKC guard, who has had experience singing in church, relived memories of a past talent show when Rolling Stone asked him to sing R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly."
Last September, Oladipo revealed his hidden talent to TMZ Sports when he was dared to perform for a talent show at a water park. His cover of choice? Kellz's 1996 hit. Did he win? "Of course," said Oladipo with a smile in the video.
He also offered the backstory to his smooth pipes. "I've probably been singing since I was like 7 or 8 years old. My momma made me sing in church growing up. It was kind of a hidden talent of mine for a while, but over the years I've kind of been getting out of my shell," he said, offering a "maybe" when asked if singing would be his post-basketball career. He mentioned that R&B singers Chris Brown and Trey Songz were aware of his singing talents.
Earlier this year, Oladipo flaunted his vocals for the NBA Talent challenge, where he also sang "I Believe I Can Fly."
Billboard reached out to R. Kelly's rep for comment.
