Watch Neil Young and D.R.A.M. in the Studio

By Jazz Monroe.

Back in February, D.R.A.M. cryptically tweeted, “‘Big Baby D.R.A.M. X Neil Young.’ - ??.” Throughout the year, hints trickled in that the unlikely collaboration might come to fruition. Now, video of their time in Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio together—along with the Social Experiment—has emerged on Is My Shit Tight? (via XXL). Check it out below. It’s unclear if or when the collab will be released, but earlier this month, D.R.A.M. told Brooklyn Mag, “I worked on one of his records, he worked on one of my records.”

He added:

It was really, really cool, man. I mean, a guy from the old school, like, a real, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer. Just embracing my take on music, my sound, and the fact that I’m able to collaborate with someone so legendary, from a whole nother side of the spectrum… it’s monumental. It’s one of those real defining moments, like, ‘you’re really out here.’
