Watch Lorde Sing Parody Version of 'Green Light' About Creme Eggs

“I’m waiting for it, that Creme Egg, I want it”

By Noah Yoo.

Lorde recently made an appearance on “The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw” on BBC Radio 1, where host Nick Grimshaw asked her about her affinity for Cadbury Creme Eggs. “I love to indulge in a Creme Egg, and I’ve been in America and the chocolate is not very good in America,” she said in a hushed tone. “I was excited to come to the UK and snack on a little Creme Egg.” Lorde and Grimshaw then go on to sing her new single “Green Light” together, swapping out the lyrics for new lines about the confection. As you might have already guessed, the new chorus goes: “I’m waiting for it, that Creme Egg, I want it.” Watch that go down below. Lorde’s new album Melodrama is due out June 16.
