Lady Gaga released a lyric video for her new single “The Cure” -- but good luck trying to read the lyrics.
The pop star posted a tweet Monday (May 1) with a link to the video just two weeks after premiering the song during her Coachella headlining performance.
The video depicts a small square clip in the center of the screen, with Lady Gaga herself perched on a turquoise armchair against a matching silky background. Surrounding the songstress is a black-and-white background flashing with different patterns and motions. The lyrics circulate around Gaga and take about five seconds to make the viewer dizzy.
Fans, while excited for a new release prior to the Joanne World Tour kicking off in August, were just as perplexed by the constant visual stimulation of the lyric video. They flooded Twitter with seizure warnings and confused memes, ultimately demanding a full music video.
