Watch Eric B. & Rakim Play First Show in Over 20 Years

Performing their iconic debut Paid in Full in its entirety

By Noah Yoo.

Eric B. & Rakim took the stage at the Apollo Theatre in New York City last night for their first show together in over two decades. The duo performed their debut album Paid in Full in its entirety, on the 30th anniversary of its release to the day. Watch them do classic cuts like “My Melody,” “Ain't No Joke,” and “I Know You Got Soul” below. The duo also brought out Flavor Flav, Ice T, Fat Joe, Roxanne Shante, and Kool Herc as surprise guests. It’s unclear whether or not Eric B. & Rakim will play more shows following this one-night concert at the Apollo. Last fall, they announced their reunion and teased a tour, but the Apollo date is the only one to materialize thus far.
