Video Premiere: Wakey Wakey Unveils ‘Golden’

Wakey Wakey, aka Brooklyn-based artist Michael Grubbs, about to release ​his new album Overreactivist out Feb 26.

“This song is sort of a letter to my 12-year-old self. I had a hard time in school, I was a music nerd who was bad at sports, so I got picked on and bullied a lot,” says Grubbs. “I remember one night standing on a balcony in Texas, at a really amazing hotel, with an incredible group of people. I remember thinking, if I could tell my 12 year old self this was coming it would blow his mind… This song is what I might say."

In support of his new album, Wakey Wakey is set to tour the U.S. in February, with a select date in Canada, followed by a European tour through the month of March. To keep up with his schedule, check here.
