Video Premiere: Doctrin Debuts Sexy ‘Give Me Love’

Doctrin is the moniker of Australian-born/L.A.-based singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dolly Denko. Denko’s darkly rich pop style gained her acclaim Down Under; and now she is taking on the music scene of her relocated home of Los Angeles, where she worked on her debut EP The Deep (scheduled for release on Jan. 15). Yahoo Music is pleased to debut the video for first U.S. single “Give Me Love,” a production that celebrates such sexy scenes as burlesque and pin-up culture.

“I wanted to combine body positive burlesque-inspired visuals with the song’s message; that you just can’t force love and you’ll be OK on your own in the end,” notes Denko of her video. “You shouldn’t have to beg for love or pull out a bag of tricks. If it’s not there, let it go. Find yourself and eat some cake!

"The video was incredibly fun to shoot, but that’s easy for me to say because I’m not the one that was tied to a bed having hot wax poured over me!”
