Video Premiere: Daughtry Goes for the Gold With New Live Version of ‘Torches’

Phillip Phillips scored a major hit when his anthem “Home” soundtracked the 2012 Summer Olympics, and now his fellow American Idol alumnus Chris Daughtry is also going for the gold with his band Daughtry’s “Torches.” The song, the only new track off Daughtry’s recently released best-of compilation, It’s Not Over… The Hits So Far, is featured in 2016 Olympics promotions, and now fans also have a chance to hear a new live version via the AUDIENCE Network.

AUDIENCE’s Daughtry special, featuring Chris performing his hits (plus a totally unexpected cover of Zayn’s “Pillowtalk”) and sitting down for an interview with Ted Stryker, will air tomorrow, Friday, at 9 p.m. ET/PT (DIRECTV Ch 239/U-verse Ch 1114). But you can watch the show’s “Torches” performance now, via Yahoo Music’s exclusive video premiere.
