Vestas Feels the Force of a Surge in Orders

November 8 -- Vestas Wind Systems A/S surged for a second day after third quarter earnings and orders beat expectations, allowing it to raise its outlook for the rest of the year. The Danish manufacturer of wind turbines said adjusted earnings before interest and tax, excluding items almost doubled to 433 million euros ($478 million) in the three months through September from 232 million euros in the same period a year earlier, according to a statement on Tuesday.
