‘The Voice,’ The Day After: Dishing About the Season 12 Premiere
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, aka “Shefani,” reunited on The Voice Season 12 premiere this week, and you know what that means… it’s time for a reunion between myself and Season 9 Team Gwen finalist and “The Day After” co-host, Jeffery Austin.
Today, we discuss a bit of the Shefani backstory (don’t forget, Jeffery was there to watch Gwen and Blake’s romance blossom on the Voice set a year and a half ago); namedrop a ton of obscure reality-show references (remember Duets on ABC, American Juniors, Trenyce, or Steve Jones from The X Factor USA?); debate the lowered age limit this season; and critique the Blind Auditions from Monday and Tuesday night.
It’s like we never left — which we sort of didn’t, because Season 11 of The Voice only ended a couple months ago. But it’s still a reunited-and-it-feels-so-good moment. Enjoy!
