‘The Voice,’ The Day After: Dishing About the Final 4

Finally, just as this season of The Voice is getting good (with all of the contestants stepping up their game, and most of them cracking the iTunes top 10), it’s almost over. Four out of eight contestants went home this Tuesday, leaving us with an admittedly strong top four leading into next week’s finale – but also leaving us wondering what might have been if some of the prematurely eliminated hopefuls had been allowed to stick around.

And by “us,” I mean me and Season 9 finalist/”The Day After” co-host Jeffery Austin, who just a few months ago was in this same position as last night’s Laith Al-Saadi, Mary Sarah, and Bryan Bautista, singing for the Twitter Save and a spot in last season’s finale. Jeffery prevailed, but this season, Bryan and Mary weren’t so lucky. Today, Jeffery and I talk about all this and more.
