On Wednesday afternoon (March 15), T.I. blasted President Donald Trump on Instagram, after the Commander-in-Chief slammed Snoop Dogg over his controversial video "Lavender."
"@snoopdogg is a F****in Legend u F***ing Tangerine Tanned Muskrat scrotum skin, Lacefront Possum fur Wig wearing, Alternative fact, Atomic Dog diarrhea face a** man!!!!," he wrote on Instagram.
His scathing diatribe didn't end there. He continued to slash Trump with insults regarding his presidency. "Leave our legends names out ya f***in old ass puppy piss smelling a** mouth & continue to focus on dividing minorities, building barriers, alienating immigrants, &f***in this country up like u been doin.... #UWannaBeDictator#PresidentialLevelF***Boy," he concluded.
Snoop Dogg became the target of criticism after he delivered the music video to the Nightfall remix of BADBADNOTGOOD's "Lavender." The visual depicted the "Gin and Juice" rapper holding a toy pistol at a clown-faced character mocking the president, named Ronald Klump. After pulling the trigger, a sign reading "bang" came out of the gun.
"Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!" tweeted Trump early Wednesday morning in response to the video.
On the political side, Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Ted Cruz both chimed in on the visual. "We've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something that you should be very careful about," Rubio told TMZ. Cruz shared similar sentiments and thought the video was "in poor taste to be making fun of murdering someone, and in particular assassinating the president."
