Just hours after Luis Fonsi (and Daddy Yankee) released the "Despacito" remix featuring Justin Bieber, the Puerto Rican singer made a surprise appearance during the Canadian superstar's concert in Puerto Rico.
The surprise collab took place at José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, where Bieber's Purpose Tour paused on Tuesday night (April 18). According to local media, the audience went wild when Fonsi hit the stage as thousands sang along with the worldwide hit.
As previously reported, the remix keeps the original rhythms and features Bieber singing in Spanish for the first time. The recording has enjoyed some 20 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours since its premiere.
Despacito's original version has been No. 1 for eleven straight weeks on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart and currently holds the No. 49 spot on the Hot 100 chart. The official music video has 980 million views worldwide and, for eight weeks, has led the YouTube songs chart.
