Suge Knight Sues Dr. Dre, Claims Dre Hired a Hitman to Kill Him

Suge claims Dre orchestraded his 2014 shooting so he wouldn't have to pay him that Beats money.

Suge Knight is suing Dr. Dre for 30 percent of Dre's entertainment earnings, reports TMZ.

Suge was shot seven times during Chris Brown's VMA afterparty in 2014, an incident that he claims Dre orchestrated so Dre wouldn't have to Suge any of the money earned from selling Beats to Apple. Suge also noted that he has a lifetime management contract with Dre, dating all the way back to their Death Row days, which would entitle him to 30 percent of all Dre's entertainment earnings if legit. Of the $1 billion Dre earned by selling Beats to Apple, that would mean Suge is owed $300 million in damages.

The suit states that police questioned someone named T-Money about the shooting, who told investigators he was paid by Dre to kill Suge. It also states that Suge's arrest from when he ran over two men during the filming of Straight Outta Compton was a consequence of trying to escape an ambush, also orchestrated by Dre. One of the men died, and Suge claims that the other, Cle "Bone" Sloan, was paid by both Dre and Universal to "take care of him."

It's worth noting that Suge is no stranger to lawsuits—he also sued Chris Brown for hosting that VMA afterparty where the shooting occurred.
