As millennials continue the unavoidable takeover, '90s kids all over the world find themselves full of increasing power, and what do we do with it? We bring all that awesome '90s-era juice and pizzazz back bigger and brighter than ever.
Tons of artists have caught the '90s bug, especially electronic dance producers. Take Sub Focus for instance. His latest work drips with classic rave elements, but oh, is there still a load of bass. The retro style is evident on Love Divine, a tune that plays with house, jungle, garage, and pumps the bpm to powerhouse levels.
"I wanted to create an outlet for my more club oriented music in advance of my next album project in 2017," Sub Focus says. "I love the nostalgia of the samples and finding out where they originally came from, and I've been rediscovering old techniques and equipment the tracks were made on like Akai samplers and Emu Emulator keyboards, even sampling some of the original cassettes I recorded off pirate radio stations like Kool FM back in my teens."
Love Divine is out Friday, Nov. 25, but you can listen to it below exclusively on Billboard Dance.
