By Noah Yoo.

Doug Martsch, Stephen Malkmus, Carrie Brownstein, Boss Hog, and many more have been announced as contributors to a new protest album, Battle Hymns. Available now as a pay-what-you-want download, the compilation was “created in direct response to the current political situation in the U.S.A” and benefits three different organizations: Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union, and climate change non-profit 350.org. Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss of Quasi assembled the compilation, and also served as the backing band on several songs. Check out the tracklist and cover art below, and get the album here.
