Song Premiere: Miranda Lee Richards Debuts 'Lucid I Would Dream'

It’s no surprise Miranda Lee Richards is a creative force to be reckoned with: She grew up in bohemian San Francisco during the late ’70’s/early ’80s as the daughter of world-renowned comic book authors who ran in the same circle as R. Crumb. After graduating from San Francisco School Of The Arts — and trying and ultimately rejecting a modeling career — she began to pursue her passion for music.

Richards met Kirk Hammett from Metallica who taught her to play Mazzy Star songs on guitar. Her early demos reached Anton Newcombe and she joined his band, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, before eventually starting a solo career and releasing a string of critically acclaimed albums. Her latest, Existential Beast, is set to hit the streets June 16.

Yahoo Music is excited to premiere a track from the new album, “Lucid I Would Dream,” for fans to enjoy.

Richards will be adding tour dates throughout the spring and summer in support of her release. If you’d like to keep up with her schedule, check here.
