Song Premiere: Hear Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s ‘Oh Marie’

Grammy-nominated kings of swing Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are poised to release their latest album, Louie, Louie, Louie — a heartfelt tribute to and celebration of jazz legends Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan, and Louis Prima. Produced by founder and lead singer Scotty Morris and pianist and arranger Joshua Levy, the album reveals the evolution of swing, jazz, and popular music through the songs and personalities of these three giants of American culture.

Yahoo Music is excited to debut their take on Prima’s “Oh Marie” to let fans get a taste of the project. Says Morris: “We really want people to know about these great men that have so deeply influenced us, and perhaps help spark a new creative interest in them and their music.”

Louie, Louie, Louie will be available June 16. A U.S. tour will kick off that month as well.
