It’s been a while since we’ve heard a solid mash-up concept album, but today we bring you Yeezer.

Years ago, Weezer was paired with Jay-Z for Jay-Zeezer’s The Black and Blue Album, but it couldn’t compete with The Grey Album by Danger Mouse. Could Yeezer be Weezer’s second shot at a proper hip-hop mash-up concept album? The band, most likely, doesn’t give a shit. But admit it, these things are pretty fun to listen to.

The album was made by Alex Hodowanec, of Ohio State University, who told MTV that the project all started with “Through The Hills,” a mash-up of Kanye’s “Through The Wire” and Weezer’s “Beverly Hills.” He explains: “Once that first song clicked, I thought, you might as well just go for nine more, right?”
