See It First! Meat Loaf Debuts ‘Speaking in Tongues’ Lyric Video

This week legendary rock belter Meat Loaf releases his 13th studio album, Braver Than We Are, which reunites him with his famous Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II collaborator, Jim Steinman. To celebrate, Yahoo Music is premiering a new lyric video from the album, the Steinman-penned “Speaking in Tongues.”

“’Speaking in Tongues’ is the last song Jim Steinman finished for this record, and he believed that the bridge are some of the best lyrics he’s ever written — and [guest singer] Stacey Michelle’s vocal is simply astonishing,” Meat Loaf tells Yahoo Music.

Last month to EW, Meat Loaf described singer Michelle’s performance on that track as having a “Merry Clayton vibe.”

Braver Than We Are is out today on 429 Records.
