See It First: ‘America’s Got Talent’ Darling Heavenly Joy Jerkins Appears in Mom’s ‘Hallelujah’ Video

There’s a ridiculous amount of talent flowing in the Jerkins-Enriquez household. Husband and Grammy award-winning producer Rodney Jerkins has crafted hits for Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga. Wife, Joy Enriquez, a singer-songwriter herself, is an 11-time Star Search champ. And one of their children, 5-year-old Heavenly Joy, recently touched the hearts of millions with an amazing singing and tapping audition on America’s Got Talent.

On the heels of Heavenly Joy’s AGT performance generating more than six million views on YouTube, she makes a cameo in her mother’s new lyric video for “Hallelujah,” premiering exclusively on Yahoo Music.

Different from most lyric videos that use fancy animated typography to display the words to the songs, “Hallelujah” cleverly uses an old-fashioned classroom chalkboard. As Enriquez sings, she takes on the role of an elementary school teacher writing her lesson (the song lyrics) on the blackboard, and she invites uniform-clad students to help.

Though the chalkboard writing is mostly reserved for the bigger kids, Heavenly Joy manages to catch the camera’s attention, snagging a couple sweet solo shots with mom.

This is the second music video for the song. In May, Enriquez released a version featuring her and her children spending a day together at home. It was taped with a GoPro camera.

Featuring violinist Lindsey Stirling, “Hallelujah” is an uplifting worship song from Enriquez’s forthcoming album produced by Jerkins and to be released on his Lifestyle Music Group Christian music label.

In 2013, Enriquez and Jerkins visited Yahoo Music to discuss their reality show, House of Joy.
