See Chicago Garage-Rockers Twin Peaks Go Raw and Unplugged on ‘Sweet Thing’

Twin Peaks seemed right at home this year at Lollapalooza, playing smack-dab in the middle of Grant Park in their native Chicago. While the fuzzy, scuzzy garage-rockers, who’ve been compared to the Stooges and the Strokes, toned down their raucous sound for the special, sunshine-soaked performance seen here, this was hardly a set for the flower-crown crowd. Twin Peaks’ acoustic rendition of their loosey-goosey, lackadaisical “Sweet Thing” had all of the raw, rawkin’ charm of the very plugged version first heard on their 2014 sophomore album for the Grand Jury label, Wild Onion.

Check out Twin Peaks’ exclusive performance, shot live from the Toyota Tent at Lollapalooza 2015 in conjunction with SPIN. It’s pretty sweet.
