SEC Said to Demand Cooperman Hedge Fund Suspension

Oct. 13 -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is reported to have pushed for Omega Advisors Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Leon Cooperman to accept a temporary suspension from the hedge fund industry. The proposed suspension would have been part of a settlement of insider trading accusations brought against Cooperman by the SEC. Cooperman spoke with Bloomberg's Erik Schatzker Tuesday on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Americas."
