Joe Wengert is a stand up, actor, improviser, and writer based in Los Angeles. As a stand up, Joe has appeared in various shows around Los Angeles, including Crash Test, Seth and Ed’s Puppet Show, What’s Up Tiger Lily, Holy F**k, Twelve Shiny Nickels, and many more. He has performed in San Francisco, Portland, San Diego, and New York City. In 2012 he appeared at the SXSW festival, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and he has been called back as a stand up for the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. Joe is a regular performer at the UCB Theater. He improvises every Monday night with The Smokes and all over the country with the UCB Touring Company. His one-man character show "Stages of Adulthood" ran at UCB throughout 2011. Other UCB-LA credits include Comedy Death Ray and ASSSSCAT.
Joe has been a writer for the Onion News Network and both seasons of the ONN IFC show. Joe has also written for Funny or Die and Comedy Central. Joe has also appeared on VH1, NBC’s "Are You There, Chelsea?" and Comedy Central’s "Key and Peele." In 2012, Joe was featured in the New Faces Showcase at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival. Recently, Joe has been writing for "The Kroll Show" on Comedy Central.
