Michelle Pesce grew up in Youngstown, Ohio with a deep love for 80s and 90s hip-hop and pop.
During her career in publicity at the entertainment PR firm Wolf-Kasteler, Pesce worked with some of the top actors and musicians in the world. After attending Woodstock ’99, she was inspired to start DJing and soon after bought a set of Technic turntables to teach herself the craft. A year later she was introduced to DJ Spinderella (of Salt-n-Pepa fame) who served as a mentor and helped launch her into the LA hip-hop scene. In 2004, Pesce made the tough decision to leave her publicity career and focus on DJing full time. Since then, Pesce has become a highly sought-after DJ, performing at parties and clubs all over the world and rooted in the Hollywood event scene.
She has a weekly gig playing old-school hip hop at LA hotspot The Dime, played herself in an episode of "Entourage" and has performed for A-list crowds at events for the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Sundance Film Festival, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and the Grammy Awards. Pesce mixes the flavor of hip hop with rock, funk and pop, while always keeping an old school vibe.
