Craig Robinson performed in New York City on May 3 as part of the Yahoo! On the Road tour.
In his first leading man role, Craig Robinson stars as Wade Walker in the hilarious comedy "Peeples" for Lionsgate, directed by Tina Gordon Chism (writer of "Drumline") and produced by Tyler Perry. Wade, a devoted boyfriend, surprises his fiancé-to-be, Grace [played by Kerry Washington], at her parents’ estate only to find out they have never heard of him. In a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious surprises, Wade gets a look at the family ties that freak us out, but bind us together with love. "Peeples" will open nationwide on Friday, May 10.
Robinson is currently appearing in the ninth and final season of the Emmy®-winning “The Office” on NBC, where he portrays acerbic Dunder-Mifflin employee Darryl Philbin. Additionally, he is featured in the upcoming "Rapture-Palooza" for Lionsgate and "This Is The End," alongside Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Danny McBride.
Robinson has recently wrapped production on an NBC pilot, "Mr. Robinson," which is loosely based on his life as a Chicago-based K-8 music teacher who is a teacher by day, musician by night. The sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine will begin production later this summer.
