Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan Talk 'Rolling Stone' Daft Punk Cover Story
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan busted out a copy of the new issue of Rolling Stone with Daft Punk on the cover during yesterday's Live with Kelly and Michael, proving that no one can escape the dance delirium instigated by the robots' new album, Random Access Memories.
Ripa – who couldn't believe Daft Punk had gone away in the first place – marveled at fans' willingness to purchase replicas of the French duo's helmets, no matter the cost, while also pointing out that there's a YouTube clip detailing how to make your own in 749 steps. That process, however, is a whole lot shorter if you've got your own Gelman: Ripa and Strahan proceeded to don two homemade Daft Punk helmets, which prompted the former football star Strahan to crack to producer Gelman, "Man, it looks like you went and stole this out of the Yankees' garbage bin and painted it!" Strahan also noted that he would like one of those suave black suits you can see Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter wearing on our cover. This article originally appeared on Rolling Stone: Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan Talk 'Rolling Stone' Daft Punk Cover Story
