Fall TV 2013: Dylan McDermott vs. Dermot Mulroney -- Do You Know Who Is Who?
Because they're both in new fall TV pilots, and the pilots seem to have a lot in common…
Do you already have trouble remembering which handsome, dark-haired fellow is Dylan McDermott and which is Dermot Mulroney? Yeah, things are about to get even more confusing, now that the two actors are starring in new fall 2013 TV pilots that also sound quite similar.
McDermott -- he's the one who married Julia Roberts in "Steel Magnolias" -- will star in the CBS drama "Hostages," about people caught in a major political conspiracy that involves the president of the United States and the kidnapping of children. His character is an FBI agent, and his female co-star is an Emmy and Golden Globe winner (Toni Collette).
Mulroney -- he's the one Julia Roberts wanted to marry in "My Best Friend's Wedding" -- will star in the NBC drama "Crisis," also about people caught in a major political conspiracy that involves the president of the United States and the kidnapping of children. His character is a former CIA analyst, and his female co-star is an Emmy and Golden Globe winner (Gillian Anderson).

McDermott, Dermot … "Hostages," "Crisis" … kidnapped children and the POTUS, kidnapped children and the POTUS, FBI, CIA…
Has anyone ever seen these two dudes together in the same room?
If one of them wants some vacay time during production, can the other fill in for him without anyone being the wiser?
Or are they really the same person, one superactor we'll just call Dermot McDermott, masquerading as two separate stars?
We'll be watching them (or him?) for clues next fall.
