Carrie Underwood will honor the victims of the fatal tornadoes in Oklahoma at the CMT Music Awards tonight. The country singer will perform her new single "See You Again" with a 24-voice choir from Nashville Christ Church as a somber tribute to the victims, The Associated Press reports.

"The choir, I've never done that before and they just kind of take it to a whole ethereal place," Underwood said Monday after rehearsal.

Blake Shelton Tornado Relief Concert Raises $6 Million

During tonight's live performance, viewers will be instructed how to donate to the Red Cross.

Underwood, an Oklahoma native who grew up 115 miles east of Oklahoma City, is among several country stars, including including Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Ronnie Dunn, who have lent support to victims of the devastation in Oklahoma.

"Tornado season is something that we're all used to but you can never fully prepare for it," Underwood said. "It takes what it wants and it knocks down what it wants and there's nothing you can do about it except just try to be prepared. They're just wonderful people and they're going to rebuild and they're going to bounce back stronger than ever."
