Buckwheat Groats Drops NSFW Video Praising Tom Hanks: Watch

We may never have asked for a rap song praising Tom Hanks, but life is but a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get.

Yesterday (March 18), rap duo Buckwheat Groats filled the hole in our lives we didn't even know existed with "Tom Hanks," its new music video that features Captain Phillips himself -- well, sort of.

"You know, there's a lot of great actors out there in the world," the extremely NSFW song/video begins. "Vince Vaughn comes to mind, David Duchovny / But there's only one man you can call the greatest / Back-to-back Academy Awards, four Golden Globes / And when it comes to this rap shit / Bitch, I'm Tom Hanks!"

From there, "Tom Hanks" is a tune that follows the Lil B bible of saluting one of your biggest idols by proclaiming you're on their level in your own medium. "I’m Tom Hanks, you’re not Hanks / How the fuck you gon’ stop Hanks? / 8.5 billion at the box office, that’s top rank / My band of brothers got bands, we in the club and we flexin.'"

While the actor doesn't actually appear in the video, the rapping duo did opt to transpose his head on another actor in the video, meaning you get all sorts of wonderful Hanks expressions while he slaps some butts, pulls a man out of his own car, literally shoots a guy, flashes the camera -- you know, usual Oscar-winning actor behavior.

The video has received praise from at least one member of the Hanks family -- Chester Hanks, who makes a brief appearance (again, sort of) in the clip, tweeted that the song is "a work of genius. The younger Hanks is a rapper himself, his stage name Chet Haze.

@BUCKWHEATGROATS thank you for this work of genius. #HanksNation #LaFamilia @TheIlluminati http://t.co/29511OEAZF

Since its March 18 release, the video has already racked up nearly 100,000 views on YouTube.
