'Dancing With the Stars' Week 7 Recap: The Stars Sizzle on Latin Night

Guess who's immune from elimination this week?

Karina Smirnoff and Jacoby Jones perform on "Dancing With the Stars."

Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" was hot, hot, hot as the stars took on a sizzling Latin theme. And for one couple, elimination was not, not, not -- this week, anyway!

That's right, a first-ever twist had one couple deemed safe before this week's voting even took place, while the other couples competed in a dance-off for three extra points added to their score. Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough had the highest overall score for the night, despite the "American Idol" alum performing three concerts this week, giving her a lot less dance rehearsal time. The blond bombshells shook their bon-bons for their samba on Monday night, nabbing 29 points even though judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the country star, "I don't always feel you when you dance."

While it was "¡Hola! Immunity" for Kellie and Derek, check out who else gave the ballroom some heat this week -- and who won extra points in the dance-off.

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff

NFL star Jacoby Jones shook up the ballroom with his spunky salsa with pro partner Karina Smirnoff, prompting judge Len Goodman to ask, "Was that an earthquake or did you just rock this place?" While the head judge would have preferred to see fewer lifts, Bruno Tonioli declared, "The fiesta has begun!" For the record, the Super Bowl champ quipped, "Running 110 is nothing compared to dancing for a minute and a half!"

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson

Soap star Ingo Rademacher tried to give his hips a workout during his rumba with Kym Johnson, but the judges weren't impressed. "They say the hips don't lie, but in your case I wish they could," Bruno said. All the judges agreed that Ingo's hips were too stiff: "Your hips need a lot more work," Len warned. But -- spoiler alert! -- the "General Hospital" star redeemed himself later in the evening.

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess

Comedian Andy Dick is tired of being called a nondancer, but this week's rumba didn't help his case. The judges slammed his slow-paced dance with partner Sharna Burgess. Len told the duo, "As far as the rumba, it was more erratic than erotic." Bruno dissed the dance even further: "You've taken an unforgettable, classic dance … and now I wish I could forget." Andy's scores included a lowly 5, a real stinger so late in the competition.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas

Olympic champ Aly Raisman told TV Guide she planned to use her rear assets to her advantage this week: "In the Latin dances, you have to use your butt," she said. "The more you shake it, the better." And shake things up she did! Her pineapple shakin' salsa with Mark Ballas had Bruno giving this recipe for a critique: "That was a tutti-frutti delicious cocktail of tropical flavors, perfectly shaken." The couple got their first pair of 10s this season.

Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd

Sean Lowe was having trouble feeling romantic while dancing with Peta Murgatroyd, so his pro partner brought in reinforcements: "The Bachelor" star's fianceé, Catherine. It helped him pull off a seductive rumba, although Len compared the dance to a match: "Peta was hot, [Sean] was a bit wooden." Bruno called the dance "50 shades of Sean," but added, "Sometimes your buns stuck out and you looked like you were going to the toilet." Um, thanks? Score: Triple eights.

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy

Disney star Zendaya Coleman looked like an angel (and "danced like a fury," according to Bruno), although the devilish judges called her out for not lifting her chin throughout her paso doble with Val Chmerkovskiy. Still, she got nines all round. Chin up, Zendaya, you're that good!

Dance-off challenge

It's time for a new challenge and the chance to get three extra points. Andy cha-cha-ed against Aly, with the Olympian easily getting the well-deserved extra points. Ditto for Zendaya and Val, who, in a more closely matched battle, challenged Jacoby and Karina to a jive -- and won. Finally, Sean and Peta competed against Ingo and Kym for a rumba redo, and Ingo edged "The Bachelor" out in what Bruno dubbed "the battle of the hunks."
