Run the Jewels Share New 'RTJ3' Track "Legend Has It"
Run the Jewels drop new song "Legend Has It" and reveal the release date for 'RTJ3.'

Run the Jewels' new album, RTJ3finally has a release date for early 2017 and the hip-hop duo are celebrating by sharing a new song titled "Legend Has It."

The song, and the entire album, was produced by El-P and co-produced by Little Shalimar and Wilder Zoby. The rest of the project, which will drop in January, will include guest appearances from many familiar faces like Danny Brown, Boots, Kamasi Washington, TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe, Trina, and more. Previously released songs inlude "Talk to Me," "Panther Like a Panther (I'm the Shit)," and "2100."

"For us, the RTJ1 hands were about 'taking what's yours'—your world, your life, your attitude. The RTJ2 hands were wrapped in bandages, signifying injury and healing, which for us represented the growth in ideas and tone of that album," the pair said of their previous albums artwork. "For RTJ3 the bandages are off, the chain is gone and the hands have been transformed into gold. For us this represents the idea that there is nothing to take that exists outside of yourself. You are the jewel."

RTJ3 is set to arrive Jan. 13 digitally worldwide with the North American physical release dropping that same day. The international physical release is set for Jan. 20. The self-released album will be available as a free download and both on CD and LP in partnership with RED Distribution.
