Ahead the release of his first solo album, René Pérez (Residente) drops its first official single "Desencuentro," featuring French singer/actress SoKo, Billboard has learned.
The song is an unusual piece for Residente. His voice feels a bit shy but it is perfectly incorporated into violins, violas, cellos, harps, piccolo, guitars and French horn. Composed by René Pérez, Francis Pérez and Soko, the Spanish/French language lyric, tells the story of two people that are perfect to each other but, at the same time, a mismatch.
"It can be your soulmate, but they are in different orbits. Even if they know each other, they live in a mismatch. The same thing happens between the people we know, the countries, and the moments in general. Disagreement can exist in so many things," said Pérez in a press release.
