The company Heir Hunters believe they have found a man living in Minnesota who is the son of the late singer and therefore could be entitled to his earnings.

The man contacted the company which says it is “America’s premier international genealogical research and heir finding firm” in a bid to claim what he says is his.

If his bid is successful it’s believed he will take all of Prince’s $300 million fortune.

However, if the man’s claim is found to be false, it’s believed the money could go to a sibling of the Raspberry Beret singer.

Heir Hunters are also dealing with a claim from a man who says he shares the same father as the late star and therefore is his half brother.

The company admits that they have been swamped with ‘hundreds’ of similar claims, however, these are the only two they believe to be potetianllt legitimate.

"We have received hundreds of calls, emails and letters from people claiming to be either a child of Prince’s or offspring of Prince’s father,” he explained.

“Obviously they all can’t be genuine claims, but we have established that at least two seem to be legitimate and will need further investigation.

"One person claims to be Prince’s child and another claims to be offspring of Prince’s father.

"If there is a child, if Prince had one single child, that child will take all the inheritance.

"We think that more likely than not these claims are genuine, but both need further investigation.”

Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson filed paperwork on Tuesday in a Minneapolis court saying Prince has no known will.

The 57-year-old superstar died at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis a week ago.
