September 12, 2013 marks the one-decade anniversary of Johnny Cash's passing. Few musicians have had the impact the Man In Black has had on American popular culture, as well as popular music itself: Cash managed to stake his place in the Country Music, Gospel Music and Rock And Roll Halls of Fame over the span of his remarkable career.
Cash died at age 71, just four months after his wife of 35 years, June Carter Cash, passed away in May 2003. The official cause of death was marked as complications from diabetes, but many believe his broken heart contributed to his demise. He lies in rest next to June in Tennessee. Here's a look back remembering his amazing impact over his seven decades of life.
