Colorado wildfires
Heavy winds fanning drought-stricken, beetle-killed forest shows no signs of relenting and is threatening a tourist town in Colorado's southwestern mountains. South Fork, home to about 400 full-time residents, was evacuated as the West Fork Fire moves closer. Elsewhere, the 22-square-mile Black Forest wildfire near Colorado Springs left two people dead and burned more than 500 houses. That blaze is now the most destructive in Colorado history. (AP)
