By Matthew Strauss.

A Perfect Circle—the supergroup of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Friedl, and ex-Smashing Pumpkins member James Iha—have signed a worldwide record deal with BMG. In a press release, Howerdel exclaimed, “We just signed a new record deal with BMG! Looking forward to sharing new music with you soon. New APC-2017!” Jon Cohen (Executive Vice President of Recorded Music at BMG) added, “We’re thrilled to welcome A Perfect Circle to BMG and excited to present their highly-anticipated new music to the world.” The press release also confirmed that the band are at work in the studio on their new record—their first since 2004’s eMOTIVe.

Next week, A Perfect Circle embark on their first North American tour since 2011. Upon the tour’s announcement in January, Howerdel said, “Getting back to writing music with A Perfect Circle is a great way to start the new year.” Check out the band’s upcoming shows below.
