Paul McCartney Pays Back 'Black Beatles' Favor With Mannequin Challenge Video

Billboard

You knew Sir Paul wasn't gonna sit this one out forever. After the Rae Sremmurd-inspired Mannequin Challenge -- an Internet craze of videos showing all participants freezing in place, most often set to the sounds of the ATL duo's "Black Beatles" -- swept up everyone from Steph Curry to Hillary Clinton, it was only a matter of time before the original Cute Beatle got in on the fun.

Indeed, Paul McCartney joined the party today (Nov. 10), in a video posted to his Twitter account with the accompanying text "Love those Black Beatles #MannequinChallenge." In the clip, Macca stands by his grand piano, one hand tickling the ivories and the other reached out, seemingly in mid-song rapture. As the camera pans around him, you can probably guess which line from Rae Sremmurd's current top 10 hit blares out: "Black Beatle, bitch/ Me and Paul McCartney related!"

Watch the clip below, and be thankful for the small mercies of our universe.
