Passion Pit Announces 'Tremendous Sea of Love' Official Release

By Michelle Kim.

Passion Pit has announced the official release of their latest album, Tremendous Sea of Love. Frontman Michael Angelakos shared the LP earlier this year on Twitter for free, in exchange for retweets in support of the #weneedscience campaign. It will receive a digital release on July 28 and will be available on streaming services. According to the below tweet, all proceeds from the new album will go to the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at Broad Institute. Shortly after the initial release of the album, Angelakos live streamed a session of his transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which is used to treat depression. He has been very vocal about his struggles with mental illness in years past.
