The Academy Award nominations for this year’s Best Original Song have just been announced, and they include recent Golden Globe winner “Writing’s On the Wall” (performed by noted Radiohead fan Sam Smith and written by Smith and Jimmy Napes), Diane Warren and Lady Gaga’s “Til It Happens To You” (from The Hunting Ground), the Weeknd-sung “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” (from Fifty Shades of Grey), “Manta Ray” from Racing Extinction (written & performed by J.
