The first wave of Riot Fest 2017 performers includes Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, M.I.A., Prophets of Rage and a reunion of beloved '90s West Coast punk band Jawbreaker. The festival in Chicago's Douglas Park slated to take place from Sept. 15-17 announced more than 70 acts in its initial announcement, including the Wu-Tang Clan, a DJ set from the Beastie Boys' Mike D, a 40th anniversary performance by hardcore legends Bad Brains and sets from hometown acts Ministry and Vic Mensa.
Three-day passes go on sale today (Apr. 19) at noon CT with general admission and VIP options available here. Other acts on the roster include: A Day To Remember, Gogol Bordello, Taking Back Sunday, Dirty Heads, TV on the Radio, Dinosaur Jr., New Found Glory, Death From Above 1979, FIDLAR, Action Bronson, Pennywise, Built to Spill, X, Peaches, The Lawrence Arms, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Orwells, Bayside, Say Anything, Mayday Parade, Streetlight Manifesto, Dead Cross, Minus the Bear, The Menzingers, LIARS, GWAR, Buzzcocks, GBH and more.
Another 25-plus bands will be announced next month; organizers will reveal which bands will be performing their iconic albums at the festival on Thursday (Apr. 20).
