Nicki Minaj Receives the Key to Queens, New York

By Braudie Blais-Billie.

Nicki Minaj has been awarded the Key to the City of Queens, New York. Borough president Melinda Katz bestowed the honor on the Queens-raised rapper for her “outstanding career achievements in music.” Nicki joined the ranks of musicians like Drake, Lil Wayne, Solange, and Kendrick Lamar, who received the same honor in their respective hometowns. Minaj recently released “Rake It Up” with Yo Gotti. She took shots at Remy Ma with her verse on 2 Chainz’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music track “Realize,” continuing her beef with the Bronx-rapper that’s endured since February.
