Viral Sensation James Wright Spends Thanksgiving Day With Patti LaBelle
James Wright has to go down as one of the most inspiring people of 2015. After his video of reviewing Patti LaBelle’s sweet potato pies went viral, Wright’s life has changed for the better, and he commemorated that moment on Thanksgiving Day with none other than Ms. LaBelle herself.
Wright was invited to spend turkey day with the world-renowned vocalist, showcasing his evening on Facebook in a couple of videos and engaged in a duet with LaBelle on her hit melody “You Are My Friend.”

He also celebrated his birthday with the iconic vocalist, writing on his Facebook page, “This has been the best Thanksgiving ever, and it’s also been the best birthday ever and I’m very very grateful.”

LaBelle has responded to the success of the pies, even giving props to James for adding to the desert’s reception. “This pie has been doing really really well,” she said in an interview with Good Day Philadelphia. “My new friend James Wright did this fierce video and it took the pie over the top and people were losing their minds.”
