Dave Grohl's Sound City Players visited New York this week, and after their gig Wednesday at Hammerstein Ballroom, the band stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman to play their new track "You Can't Fix This." Grohl led the Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Alain Johannes, a talented group that sounded like a band that has been together for years.
"You Can't Fix This" is off Sound City: Real to Reel, the soundtrack to Grohl's Sound City documentary. The film, Grohl's directorial debut, tells the story of the legendary Los Angeles recording studio. Sound City: Real to Reel, out March 12th, features original collaborative music by the Foo Fighters, Nicks, Johannes, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, Nine Inch Nail's Trent Reznor, Paul McCartney, Grohl's fellow Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic and more.
