"We had the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony," Wachtel told the magazine. "We all cried and laughed. Scott and I are over the moon!"
The rocker and former Stone Temple Pilots frontman first announced his engagement to Rolling Stone last November, after the couple had been dating for a year. "I am incredibly happy," he said at the time. "She is incredibly beautiful in every aspect of the word. Lovely, smart, passionate. And she loves my kids and I love her son. We're getting married in the spring, and our families will be living together . . . she's the greatest thing that's happened to me in a long, long time."
Weiland met Wachtel when she was photographing the music video shoot for his Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. "I just thought, 'I have a feeling that I am going to fall in love with this woman,'" Weiland told Rolling Stone, recalling the first day they met.
The wedding news marks a happier turn for Weiland, who has recently been embroiled in a legal dispute with the Stone Temple Pilots after getting kicked out of the band in February. Weiland's next performance with his new band, the Wildabouts, is set for August 17th in Philadelphia.
